Putting the Pause On

Life got really busy so I took a break from work. It was actually so busy, I took a break from taking my kids to school, doing laundry, and cleaning my house. I even put my marriage on pause and told my husband that I would get back to it when life slowed down.

When life got busy, I put everything on pause……… said no.one.ever.

Flip the script. Here is what really happens:

Life IS busy. It never stops being busy. So we take our kids to school, get the laundry done, clean the house (at least to a liveable standard) and we keep on keeping on. We get it done. Somehow, some way we get it all done because life isn’t a movie and we cannot hit the pause button when it’s convenient.

Then why do we hit the pause button on our health? Why does our health not take the same precedence as taking our kids to school and putting clean clothes on their body? When life “gets busy” why is the gym routine and nutrition the first thing to be pitched from the priority list?

There is never going to be a good time to start, or restart. This is your journey. Instead of “pausing,” make a PLAN! If you know next week you will be traveling for work then find a hotel with a gym and schedule a realistic number of workouts. Check out our new online training option that even has workouts already programmed for you!!  Do you know Johnny has soccer 4 days next week? The good Lord gave us crockpots for a reason, plan ahead and don’t settle for fast food because you are “busy.” Do you have to work overtime every day this week? Then take your gym shoes and leverage that lunch break!

It is time to flip the script.

You cannot go back and change the beginning, but you can start right where you are and change the ending.
